See where the work actually happens.

ProdView is the workforce analytics platform engineering managers actually trust. Productive hours, focus time, app categories, fleet activity — across macOS, Windows and Linux. No keystroke logging. No screen recording. No spyware. Just the signal you need to run the team.

Teams of 12–4,000 keep an eye on their week with ProdView

Why ProdView

A management tool — not a surveillance camera.

Most "employee monitoring" tools optimise for the wrong customer. ProdView gives managers the signal they actually use in 1:1s and planning, and gives the people doing the work full visibility into what's measured.

Signal, not surveillance

Aggregate metrics — productive hours, focus blocks, app categories — that map cleanly to the conversations a manager already has every week.

4 metrics · zero screen recordings · zero keylogs

Catch overwork before burnout

Off-hours and weekend-work detection flags the people heading for burnout — not the people who took a long lunch.

Fleet visibility that earns IT's trust

Agent health, OS spread, queue depth, USB events, off-hours logins. The kind of operational signal IT teams actually need.

The product

Six surfaces. One agent. One story.

Every screen in ProdView is built around a single question a manager actually asks on a Friday afternoon.

01 · Overview

The morning-coffee page.

A 90-second read on your team. Five KPIs, a fleet heatmap, "who could use a check-in", and a live ticker of what the team is doing right now.

  • Productive hours, focus time, idle ratio, anomalies — all on one strip
  • Heatmap surfaces lunch dips, peak hours, and weekend creep at a glance
  • Auto-generated "top of mind" lists pull both the candidates for a 1:1 and the people to celebrate
overview.heatmap · % of fleet active per hour 7d × 24h
02 · People & Person

One page per teammate. Without the creep.

Daily stacked categories, top apps, top sites, a 24h activity clock, and a colour-coded timeline of one full workday. Anything the person can't see in their own ProdView, you can't either.

  • Hour-of-day activity clock surfaces real working patterns
  • Stacked daily category bars over 28 days — productive, communication, neutral, distracting, idle
  • The person sees the exact same view as their manager
person.amelia-okafor · top apps · last 7d 38.2h focus
03 · Apps

Where the time actually goes.

15,000+ classified apps and 4M+ domains out of the box. Re-categorise per-team. Track adoption of new tools, churn out of old ones, and where every Chrome hour really went.

  • Productive / Communication / Neutral / Distracting — fully editable taxonomy
  • Per-app trend lines — find the tools your team is actually adopting
  • Drill from app → user → session in two clicks

04 · Security

The events your CISO already asks about.

USB events, off-hours logins, blocked-site attempts, location anomalies, agent tamper. Auto-triaged by severity, exportable to Splunk / Datadog / your SIEM in one click.

  • Severity scoring tuned for low-noise — false-positive rate < 2%
  • Per-event actions: dismiss, escalate, route to owner
  • Full audit log — every view, every export, every policy change

05 · Devices

Every endpoint, on one page.

Agent health, queue depth, OS flavour, CPU & RAM, last check-in. Push policy updates, force re-enrollment, retire stale devices — all with full audit.

  • Single binary · macOS (Apple Silicon & Intel), Win 11/10, Ubuntu/Debian
  • MDM-aware: Jamf, Kandji, Intune, Workspace ONE — silent deploy
  • Queue depth surfaces offline devices before they go cold

06 · Admin & API

An API the IT team will actually use.

REST + webhooks + SCIM + SAML SSO. Pipe productive-hours into Looker, push security events to PagerDuty, sync user lifecycle with Workday.

  • OAuth 2.0, scoped service tokens, IP allow-listing
  • Webhook events for every metric and alert
  • Terraform provider for fleet + policy management

The teams making us shave one more 1:1 a quarter.

ProdView is the first tool in this category that didn't make my engineers immediately email me. The fact that they see exactly what I see — that's the whole game.

We replaced a $90k/year monitoring contract with ProdView in a Tuesday afternoon. The fleet view alone paid for it. The overwork detection caught a senior dev three weeks before he was going to walk.

The morning Overview replaced our Monday standup. I read it on the train, walk in already knowing where the team needs me. That's worth ten times the per-seat price.

Privacy is the product

What ProdView never sees.

We took a hard line years ago: if it can be weaponised against the person being measured, we don't build it. Here's the explicit list — published, version-controlled, and reviewed annually by a third-party privacy auditor.

FAQ

The questions we hear on every demo.

Is ProdView spyware?
No. ProdView measures aggregate activity, focus time, and app categories. Employees see exactly what is collected from their device — bit-for-bit the same view their manager has — and managers cannot read keystrokes, screen contents, messages, or files. We publish the full data manifest at /manifest and version it on GitHub.
Which operating systems are supported?
macOS 12+, Windows 10/11, and Ubuntu/Debian-based Linux. A single agent (~28MB) covers all three with the same data model. Apple Silicon is native; we have not used Rosetta since 2024.
How long does deployment take?
Most teams under 100 people are live in under an hour. We support MDM-based deployment via Jamf, Kandji, Intune, and Workspace ONE — no end-user prompts required. The agent registers with your tenant on first run and shows up in the console immediately.
Is my company's data secure?
ProdView is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR-compliant. Data is encrypted at rest with per-tenant keys, in transit with TLS 1.3, and stored in your choice of US, EU, or APAC regions. We hold ISO 27001 and are HIPAA-ready under BAA. Audit log is append-only and signed.
Can employees opt out or see their own data?
Every employee has a "My ProdView" view that is bit-for-bit identical to the manager view of them. They can export their own data at any time, and your admin can configure a per-team or per-person paused state.
What happens if I cancel?
Your data is retained for 30 days then permanently deleted. We provide a one-click full export in CSV and Parquet. No exit fees, no data hostage.
Can I try ProdView for free?
Two ways. Free forever for up to 3 active users — Overview & People views, 7-day retention, community Slack support, no card. For larger teams, a 21-day full-product trial with up to 50 seats. You can stay on Free indefinitely after the trial or upgrade in one click.
